So you`ve just arrived on scene & about to undertake the required turn to get the right position for your site project aerial photoshoot when two Military training helicopters drive straight across your planned route?
So what do you do? Answer –
Don`t turn but keep straight on and let them fly past whilst shooting them (photographically of course!) – very photogenic.
These distinctive black and yellow helicopters and their crews are always interesting to see and even better for air to air photography, and having worked with a number of RAF Helicopter pilots I have the highest respect for these dedicated and professional pilots.
Nb, 360photosurvey.com uses full size aircraft with crew of two (our senior pro pilot + photographer) flying at 1500 feet – If we`d been using a drone we`d have been in trouble with the CAA not only for being above the permitted flying height (400ft) of drones but also in close proximity to an aircraft…you can`t do that with a drone!
